Making a poor person perform hajj with zakaat money or building a musjid with zakaat money
Question
Can we make a poor person do haj with zakat money and can we build a masjid with zakat money?
Answer
If the money is given to the poor person or the ticket is purchased on his behalf with his consent, the zakaat will be discharged.
It is impermissible to build a musjid with zakaat money.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ويشترط أن يكون الصرف ( تمليكا ) لا إباحة كما مر ( لا ) يصرف ( إلى بناء ) نحو ( مسجد و ) لا إلى ( كفن ميت وقضاء دينه ) أما دين الحي الفقير فيجوز لو بأمره ( شامى 2/344 )
