Time of walimah
Question
Please advise how exactly is a nikah consummated. Is it necessary for the couple to perform intercourse or even if they slept together that shall be sufficient to perform walimah.
Answer
The perfect sunnat is that the waleemah is after the consummation. However, just being together and then having a waleemah is also permissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
