Breaking one's fast thinking that azaan is being given
Question
If a person thought the athaan went off while fasting in Ramadhaan (he heard the athaan on the radio or someone gave the athaan as a prank) and he broke his fast is the fast valid?
Answer
If the sun had already set then the fast is valid. If it had not yet set then the fast is not valid.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
