Keeping dogs for valid reasons
Question
I am considering converting to Islam, but I live in a house with dogs and cannot avoid them due to my disability, is this ok?
Answer
If one requires a dog for assistance e.g. a blind man or for security purposes, then it is permissible to keep the dog.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
