Mehndi patterns
Question
Is the way of putting hennah patterns of flowers and shapes etc. on our Muslim sisters hands and feet which are seen in public correct in connection to how it was used by women in the time of our Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)?
Answer
If these patterns are in some way resembling the patterns of Hindus and non-Muslims then it should be avoided. The general style of the pious of the past was that it was used plainly without any design.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
