Should a person working on a ship perform Jumuah Salaah or Zuhr Salaah?
Question
I am going to join as an engineer in a ship and I cannot come to land for a minimum of 5 months. It seems that I will be the only Muslim working there. I am so worried about jummah prayer and I dont know what to do. Can I pray zuhr prayer instead and continue working on the ship or should I leave my job?
Answer
Jumah is not valid in the sea. You should perform zohar salaah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
