Is zakaat compulsory if one's debts are more than one's assets?
Question
I have a debt and some assets. However, my debt is more than my assets. Does the zakat still apply to me.
Answer
If your debts are more than your zakaatable wealth and assets, zakaat is not compulsory upon you.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
