Walimah after seclusion
Question
If the walimah takes place after seclusion instead of consummation of the marriage would the sunnat be fulfilled?
Answer
According to some Ulama', the sunnah of walimah will be fulfilled.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

واختلف السلف في وقتها هل هو عند العقد أو عقبه أو عند الدخول أو عقبه أو يوسع من إبتداء العقد إلى إنتهاء الدخول على أقوال قال السبكي والمنقول من فعل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنها بعد الدخول وفي حديث أنس عند البخاري وغيره التصريح بأنها بعد الدخول لقوله اصبح عروسا بزينب فدعا القوم (بذل المجهود 3/ 240)
