Some questions relating to Janaazah Salaah
Question
Is both salaams in janazah salaah wajib like other salaah?
Is there anything that can be read between the fourth tabeer and the tasleem?
Where the hand should be placed in the posture between the fourth tabeer and the tasleem?
While making salaam, should one make niyyat to the people on that side, farishta, jinnat etc like in other salaah?
Answer
Yes.
We have not come across anything in the kitaabs stating that anything should be read after the fourth takbeer.
The hands should be tied beneath the navel from the beginning of the Janaaza Salaah till one completes the Salaam.
Yes.

( وهي أربع تكبيرات ) كل تكبيرة قائمة مقام ركعة ( يرفع يديه في الأولى فقط ) وقال أئمة بلخ في كلها ( ويثني بعدها ) وهو سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك ( ويصلي على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ) كما في التشهد ( بعد الثانية ) لأن تقديمها سنة الدعاء ( ويدعو بعد الثالثة ) بأمور الآخرة والمأثور أولى وقدم فيه الإسلام مع أنه الإيمان لأنه منبىء عن الانقياد فكأنه دعاء في حال الحياة بالإيمان والانقياد وأما في حال الوفاة فالانقياد وهو العمل غير موجود ( ويسلم ) بلا دعاء ( بعد الرابعة ) تسليمتين ناويا الميت مع القوم ويسر الكل إلا التكبير زيلعي وغيره لكن في البدائع العمل في زماننا على الجهر بالتسليم وفي جواهر الفتاوى يجهر بواحدة ( ولا قراءة ولا تشهد فيها ) وعين الشافعي الفاتحة في الأولى وعندنا تجوز بنية الدعاء (رد المحتار 2/212)
