Question

There is a company that pays people to watch ads of different products and number them. Through doing this, the rating of the product improves, leading to the sales increasing. The company pays $1 to watch ten ads. Is this permissible?

Answer

Looking at an advert is not a service. To claim remuneration when there was no service rendered is not valid in Shari’ah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
