Keeping Islamic books with respect
Question
When we keep Islamic books, etc. in book shelves, dust accumulates on them with the passage of time. Will we be sinning if we don’t clean the bookshelves and the books of dust?
Answer
It is not a sin, but adab requires that you keep them with respect and clean them periodically.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
