Listening to one's parents when choosing a career
Question
I am a 18 year old male, and I want to join the Canadian Forces. From an Islamic perspective can my parents stop me from joining the military? Please note I am joining the military in the finance department and will not be in any combat situation, and will not be harming and killing anyone.
Answer
Obey your parents. If they are not happy with you doing this job then take on some other work.
