Effort on Imaan made in Makkah for 13 years
Question
We sometimes hear that effort on iman was done for 9 to 13 years in Makkah by Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam). Why is the figure 9 to 13 mentioned? Is it because the period of the boycott in the gorge is not counted for a few 3 or 4 years, or is it because for some years dawat was done privately, and not openly?
Answer
It was done throughout this period of 13 years, sometimes openly and sometimes secretly.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
