Wearing gold plated watches
Question
Is it permissible to wear gold plated watches? Meaning, the whole watch is gold plated with real gold.
Answer
Yes.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ثم قال: لا بأس بتمويه السلاح بذهب وفضة.(الدر المختار 6/420)
وأما التمويه الذي لا يخلص فلا بأس به بالإجماع لأنه مستهلك فلا عبرة ببقائه لونا اهـ.(رد المحتار 6/344)
ولو كان السيف مموها بالذهب أو الفضة فاشتراه بجنسه جاز البيع بكل حال ولا عبرة للتمويه لكونه مستهلكا فيه كذا في المضمرات.(الفتاوى الهندية 3/224)
وأما التمويه الذي لا يخلص فلا بأس به بالإجماع، كذا في الكافي.(الفتاوى الهندية 5/334)
