Question

In Sahih Bukhari I read a hadith that Nabi Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) forbade mut'ah. And I also found a hadith that Nabi Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) allowed mut'ah in a battle.

So my question is, is mutah still halal in any case, if not then why?

Answer

The laws of Islam had come down gradually. The prohibition of interest and alcohol also came down gradually. The same applies to mutah. Now all are permanently declared as haraam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
