SalaahSafarTravelling without a Mahram

Question

Is it permissable to travel with your mother's mahram whilst your mother is present? I don't have a mahram who can take me to go and see my sick nani. So is it permissable if I travel with my mother and my brother in law and his wife (which is my sister)? Pardah will be observed as well.

Answer

It is not permissible for you to travel without a mahram. The hadith has prohibited a woman from travelling without a mahram. Your brother in law is your mother's mahram and not your mahram. Untill you do not have a mahram to accompany you on the journey, you should not travel.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
