Going to see a girl for marriage knowing that one will not marry her
Question
Is it permissible to go and see a girl for marriage purposes because one's family strongly recommend her. However in my own heart I know that I will not marry this person. Can one go to see her just to please the family?
Answer
If you are not clear and there is a possibility of you becoming interested in marring the person your parents want you to see, then you may go to see her. However, if you are sure that you do not want to marry her, then explain to your parents that you are not interested and therefore there is no point in going to see her.
