Question

On 21st November 2018 we had a baby and on 29th November 2018 my husband said to me "I want to divorce you" three times. He had brought two witnesses with him. I was still impure from my delivery that time. Since then I am staying with my family and have been trying to reconcile with him. Now my husband is willing to reconcile but we dont know if it is possible. My husband says that even though he said "I want to divorce you" he had the intention of divorce. Can you please tell us if the divorce happened and how can we reconcile?

Answer

Through saying "I want to divorce you", no divorce has taken place. Your nikaah is still intact.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
