Qur'aan khatam 40 days after childbirth
Question
Whats the ruling on a new born child? We performed aqeeqah after 7 days, gave some food in sadaqah and we had a Quraan khatam after 40 days. My question is about the 40 days thing, is it cultural or an Islamic sunnah?

It is a baseless practice.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
