Mother's permission for daughter's nikaah
Question
Does the mother of a woman have to give consent for the daughter's nikaah? Or is the permission of the daughter's father or wali sufficient?
What if a mother disagrees but the daughter and father agree, is the nikaah valid? The mother never said there was an Islamic reason for her disapproval she always gave un-Islamic reasons for her disapproval.
Answer
The father's permission is sufficient.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
