Playing chess and board games
Question
What do the Ulama say about playing chess or board games like monopoly? Nowadays kids want to play games which have pictures and music and are violent. Can we play board games like mentioned above instead?
Answer
Chess is forbidden. Monopoly is also not recommended.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
