Question

Gold is haraam for men to wear but is silver allowed to be used in rings or watches and is there a specific quantity limit?

Can I wear watches which contain platinum or palladium?

Answer

Men are only allowed to wear silver rings. If a man wears a silver ring, he should wear it on the small finger and the silver content should not exceed one mithqaal (4.374 grams). Apart from the small finger, he should not wear the ring on any other finger. Similarly, men are only allowed to wear one ring. Besides silver rings, men are not allowed to wear any gold or silver. Hence, it is not permissible for men to wear silver watches.

It is permissible for men to wear platinum and palladium watches.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
