Winning the lottery
Question
We got a message that we were chosen as the winners of Canada Coca-Cola's new year lottery. They were promised to give us some dollars. Is it halal for us?
Answer
Lottery is haraam as it enters under the definition of gambling. Hence, the money acquired through the lottery will be haraam.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
