Correct transliteration for salaam
Question
How can I write the salaam? I mean "As-salamu alaikum" in a proper way in English. Nowadays most people are writing salaam in English in different ways. Please explain whats the correct and incorrect way.
Answer
There is no exact equivalent for Arabic words in the English language. A close transliteration will be "Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh".
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
