Taking a pill to delay one's period
Question
I'd like to know if it would be within the shariah if I take the contraceptive pill to complete a month of fasting. I would also like to know if I would be allowed to take the pill before leaving for hajj this year inshallah.
Answer
We do not say it is impermissible, however on account of the health complications that this can cause, we do not encourage it.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
