Fowl droppings
Question
A fowl came into the home and soiled the carpet with droppings. Should I wash the soiled area only, or do I have to wash the entire carpet? If salaah was performed on the clean portion of the carpet before the entire carpet was washed, will the salaah be valid?
Answer
The droppings of a fowl are napaak. The area on which the droppings are found should be washed. The entire carpet does not have to be washed. The salaah performed on that portion of the carpet on which there were no droppings is valid.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

قال العلامة ابن عابدين - رحمه الله -: (قوله: وفي الشرنبلالية إلخ) عزاه فيها إلى مواهب الرحمن لكن في النكت للعلامة قاسم أن قول الإمام بالتغليظ رجحه في المبسوط وغيره اهـ ولذا جرى عليه أصحاب المتون.(رد المحتار 1/320)
