Following one's parents to church
Question
Can a Muslim child follow his mother or father to church in order to make them happy?
Answer
This is not permissible. We have been commanded in the Quraan Majeed and the mubaarak Ahaadith to treat our parents kindly, but not to obey them in shirk or things that lead to the disobedience of Allah Ta’ala.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
