Signing the nikaah register for the nikaah to be valid
Question
I’m a 54 year old widow for 5 years. I recently made nikah (alhamdullilah). Our nikah was done accordingly to sharia ruling, but we didn’t sign any register. We’re not worried about it either. But many people say now we were supposed to sign a register. Is that really that important?
