Witnesses for a nikaah being under the influence of drugs
Question
I got married secretly in a car whilst I was waiting for my future wife. Me and my 2 male friends were under the influence of drugs (weed) so when I said to her, will you marry me, she said yes. I asked them did you hear that. They said no. So I said it again they said no we didn’t hear her and laughed. The 3rd time I said it, they laughed and said yea yea, but I don’t really think they heard her say yes. Is my nikah valid due to the witnesses being under the influence of drugs and not hearing her say yes?
Answer
If they say that they heard then the nikaah is valid. If you are in doubt then redo the nikaah.
