Reading surahs in English
Question
I don't know how to read Arabic. I recite all my surahs in English. Will I get the reward which is promised in the Hadith by reciting the surahs in English?
Answer
No. The reward that is promised in the Hadith is for reciting it in the language it was revealed in.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ (الزخرف:3)
