Erecting TV's in the Musjid to display salaah times and notices
Question
Please comment on the practice of erecting flat screen TVs in the Musjid for the purpose of displaying salaah times and notices. The 'Ulama always told us that selling TVs are haraam, but now it seems acceptable to buy TVs for use in the Musjid.
Answer
If the screens are outside the musjid and it is only to display salaah times and important messages of nikaah, funerals, etc. it is permissible.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
