The Speech of Allah Ta'ala
Question
Can Allah Ta'ala speak like us? Does Allah Ta'ala have hands, eyes, face, etc. like us? I have read many times in the Quraan that Allah Ta'ala spoke to Hazrat Moosa (alaihis salaam) and with Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in Miraaj. Kindly clear these questions.
Answer
The Quraan says that there is nothing like Allah Ta`ala. Hence, He is beyond comprehension. Our belief is that He speaks according to His majesty and splendour. We do not need to know how He speaks, but yes He does speak. He is one. To say that He has limbs like human beings is incorrect.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
