Spouses consummating their marriage without having to live with each other permanently
Question
Can a couple consumate their marriage without having to live with each other permanently? Are there any rulings to wanting to live separately until the husband can fully provide for him and his wife?
Answer
Making these types of conditions that they will not have to live with each other is against the shar`ee spirit of nikaah. If for a short period the husband has to go out then this is an acceptable excuse for the husband.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
