Asking for a discount
Question
Is it correct to say that it is sunnah to ask for a discount?
Answer
In Shariah, it is permissible for the buyer and seller to bargain with each other while trading. Hence, asking for a discount is permissible on condition that there is no extortion on either side and both parties mutually agree on the price.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
