Parents preventing their daughter from marrying a man who had a bad past
Question
Is it permissible for a parent to stop her daugter from marrying a man who attended rehab many years ago but is an amazing man and has good character and conduct?
Answer
If her parents feel that he is not a suitable match for her in Deen, social standing etc., then she should listen to her parents.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
