Wearing a dhoti
Question
Is it permissible for a Muslim man to wear an Indian dhoti?
Is wearing a white lungi/dhoti a sunnah?
Answer
No. It is a salient feature of Hinduism. It is not permissible for a Muslim.
A lungi is sunnat, not a dhoti.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
