Staying and working in a place safar distance from one's home
Question
A person stays and works for 11 months at a place which is 172 kilometers away from his home. He comes home to visit after one or two weeks. Does he have to perform full salaah at his work place or salaah of a traveller?
Answer
If it is only a place for his job and not as a permanent home then if he is staying over for less than 15 days, he will perform qasr, 2 rakaats in place of 4 rakaats of fardh.
