Shaitaan is a trial for man

My parents and I were having a discussion, and this is what came up "what if mankind is Shaytaans trial?"
Answer
The Shayateen mislead man and are a trial for man. Man is not a trial for the shayaateen.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
