Amount of water used by Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) for wudhu and ghusl
Question
How many litres of water would Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) use for wudhu and for ghusl?
Answer
Hazrat ‘Aaishah (radhiyallahu anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) used one mudd of water for wudhu and one saa’ for ghusl. One mudd amounts to approximately 1.03 litres and one saa’ is approximately 4.1 litres.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
