The status of grandparents in Islam
Question
What is the status of grandparents in Islam?
If one is disobedient to his grandparents is the sin the same as if one was disobedient to his parents?
Answer
They should be treated very respectfully, similar to the respect that is shown to parents though the parents have greater rights, but their rights cannot be overlooked.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
