Zakaat on a Share of a Hospital which is still under Construction
Question
I have a share in a certain Hospital. One year has already elapsed and the construction is still carrying on. I have absolutely no idea when it will start operating. Do I have to discharge the Zakaat of this share?
Answer
Zakaah is not compulsory at present. However, once the hospital is running and you receive profits on your share you will have to pay zakaah on the profits.
