SalaahAzaan and IqaamahAzaan for a Newborn

Question

The hospital has strict rules for birthing a child and only one partner is allowed. My husband refuses to be in with me. Must my mother do the azaan and tahneek or should I delay it for 2 hours after the child is born?

Answer

Your mother can give the azaan and iqaamah softly in the child's ears as well as do the tahneek for the child.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
