Cream of tartar
Question
Is cream of tartar or tartaric acid derived from wine sources halaal? Does a complete change of substance occur?
Answer
Cream of tartar is halaal as it goes through a process of tabdeel-e-maahiyat (complete transformation).
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
