Husband selling a house that belongs to the wife
Question
In our culture, there is a tradition where before marriage, parents give their daughters a house named on her name and husband lives with her in that house.The house remains in the wife's name and husband just lives in it and cannot sell it. Is it allowed in Islam?
Answer
If the house belongs to the wife, then the husband cannot sell the house, as he does not own it.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
