Zakaat on money collected to build a house
Question
If money has been collected with the intention of building a house, then when will zakaat be due on it?
Answer
If one has the nisaab amount, then one will have to pay the zakaat on the money, even though one has collected the money with the intention of building a house.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
