Parents paying for child's kaffarah of an oath
Question
As for the kaffarah for the oaths, is it permissible to feed 20 people one meal instead of 10 people 2 meals?
For a baligh child that is not earning and living with parents, can he fast as a kaffarah or will his parents have to give it on his behalf?
Answer
No.
He has to do his own kaffaarah. The parents are not responsible for the wrongs that he does.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
