Zakaat on diamond jewellery
Question
Is Zakaat applicable on diamond jewellery or not?
Answer
One will pay zakaat on the gold or silver content. One will not pay zakaat on the diamonds. However, if one has purchased the diamond jewellery set for resale purposes, then one will pay zakaat on the entire jewellery set including the diamonds.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
