Assisting someone who seeks help to settle his loan with the bank with interest money
Question
Kindly advise if it is permissable to give money which was earned through interest to another person who seeks help to settle his loan with the bank?
Answer
The person should be informed about the serious consequences of getting involved in the grave sin of interest and he should be discouraged from taking such interest bearing loans in the future. However, if he is poor and in need of financial assistance, he may be assisted with interest.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
