Wishing associates and friends a prosperous new year and all the best for 2024
Question
It's Christmas season now. Can we wish our associates and friends a prosperous new year and all the best for 2024. Not wishing happy christmas as a usual.
Answer
Since it is their festive time (i.e. christmas and new years), wishing them in this way will amount to wishing them for new years. Hence, one should refrain from this as one will be emulating the kuffaar in their custom of wishing each other for new years.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
