Getting nisaab amount before one's zakaat date
Question
If I get 5 lakhs money 2 days ago and zakat will be due on during this Ramzan, will zakat be fardh?
Answer
The principle in regard to zakaat is that on your zakaat date whatever zakaatable wealth you have in your possession, you will have to pay zakaat on it, regardless of whether you had acquired some wealth few days before and one year had not yet passed on that wealth.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
